Uthai was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in June. The surgeon at Khon Kaen Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Khon Kaen Community Hospital since June. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Uthai struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Uthai won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
