Help Urvashi pay for valve repair surgery at Saket Regional Medical Center
After a hernia that has become strangulated, Urvashi was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Urvashi was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in July. The surgeon at Saket Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saket Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Urvashi struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Urvashi won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $480
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $330
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $55
• Post-operative medication: $40
• Physiotherapy sessions: $120
• Travel and lodging for the family: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
