The the Thursday Table pantry in Berlin is running low just as demand rises; $2,350 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 138 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Berlin market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $600
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,500
• Refrigeration and electricity: $250
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Ursula
1% there. the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled. Thank you.
Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($45). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity.
Update from Berlin: I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity. We're at 2% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Good luck, Ursula. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ursula
Fresh vegetables and fruit is $600 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
Take care, Ursula. Shared this with my family.
Good luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Cairns this morning. All the best
Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up
