The gas account is 4 months behind. Umar received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $150 is paid. He had never been late before October's medical emergency.
Umar called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Umar is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
