Help Uchenna restart a sewing studio in Badagry after a long illness and repossession
Uchenna lost a cutting table and overlocker to a long illness and repossession and needs $550 to reopen a sewing studio and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a sewing studio in Badagry. In June, a long illness and repossession took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $350
• Initial stock: fabric: $60
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $65
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

hope it all works out, Uchenna. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Rooting for you, Uchenna. Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Toledo.
