Help Uchenna pay for gallbladder removal at Saint Luke Hospital
A scheduled gallbladder removal in June is out of reach without help covering $300 of the cost.

Uchenna was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in March. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $300 short.
my husband has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since March. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Uchenna struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Uchenna won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $300 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Physiotherapy sessions: $50
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $205
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care, Aisha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
