Help Travis replace the engine head gasket and return to work
Travis drives for a living in Oakland, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 10 weeks.
🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States2,250 views
I make my living with my food truck. 10 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,550. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $1,150
• Labor charges: $130
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $175
• Towing and inspection: $95
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending love, Travis. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Hang in there. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from São Paulo.
Hope it all works out. Hope you make a strong comeback. My neighbor in Chattogram donated after I showed her your page.
