Tim was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in April. The surgeon at Nuremberg Orthopedic Institute recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $7,150 short.
my father has been in and out of Nuremberg Orthopedic Institute since April. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Tim struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Tim won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
