Help Thomas replace the transmission and return to work
Thomas drives for a living in Birmingham, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 8 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 8 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $210
• Labor charges: $200
• transmission replacement (parts): $890
I hope life is good to you.
