Help Tara lay Aoife to rest with dignity in Dublin
After the sudden passing of Aoife, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.
Anywhere in the world719 views
Aoife, my sister, passed away on 30 April after a sudden heart attack. She was 78 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 12 May.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aoife to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,550
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $770
• Transport of the deceased: $510
• Memorial gathering for the family: $420
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Tara?
Thank you. If you're in Dublin I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tara
It's all in the list in the story. funeral home services and casket is the big one at $1,550, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Thinking of you and your family, Tara. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Istanbul.
Sending love, Tara. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 6 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
thinking of you, Tara. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Mombasa so I could bring a meal
Sending strength. This could happen to any of us. Love from Mukono.
