Help Taner keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Çankaya is running low just as demand rises; $800 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Tuesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 174 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Çankaya market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $800 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $370
• Baby formula and diapers: $170
• Refrigeration and electricity: $95
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Mumbai
hang in there, Taner. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Keep going, Taner. Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 29 people at work. Thinking of Çankaya.
so sorry you're going through this, Taner. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update.
