Şule was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in June. The surgeon at Kadıköy General Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,400 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Kadıköy General Hospital since June. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Şule struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Şule won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
