Help Suhas replace the transmission and return to work
Without my tuk-tuk Suhas can't work; a $350 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $350 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $230
• Labor charges: $65
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $35
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Suhas
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. transmission replacement (parts) is the biggest at $230. Thanks, that means a lot.
Stay strong, Suhas. Hope you make a strong comeback.
Good luck, Suhas. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Thinking of you, Suhas. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Mumbai.
Thanks for sharing this, Suhas. I hope things turn around soon.
