Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 260 each week. Donations have dropped by about 33% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bhaktapur market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $500 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $130 • Baby formula and diapers: $90 • Refrigeration and electricity: $40 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

    • Thank you. If you're in Bhaktapur I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.

  • Sending strength, Subash. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.

    • Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
