Help Sri keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
The Community Pantry pantry in Jakarta Selatan is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Friday from the back of a community center. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 399 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Selatan market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
Glad we found this place.
