Help Sophie lay Maarten to rest with dignity in Amsterdam
Sophie lost her grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $4,450.

Maarten, my grandfather, passed away on 2 February after a road accident. He was 31 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 16 February.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Maarten to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Transport of the deceased: $400
• Funeral home services and casket: $2,950
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,100
