Help Sônia keep the the Thursday Table pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in São Paulo.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 94 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the São Paulo market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $590
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $290
• Baby formula and diapers: $200
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care, Sônia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
Great idea, hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of São Paulo.
