Sofía was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in January. The oncology team at the Iztapalapa Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Sofían is 32, worked as a bakery worker until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Iztapalapa Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
