Help Siti restart a tailoring shop in Surabaya after the demolition of the market
Siti lost three industrial sewing machines to the demolition of the market and needs $500 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For four years I have run a tailoring shop in Surabaya. In August, the demolition of the market took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $250
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $105
• Working capital for the first month: $45
Thank you so much.

Hope things get better soon, Siti. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Surabaya.

So sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 24 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything
