Help Sipho F replace the gearbox and return to work
Sipho F drives for a living in Soweto, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 7 weeks.

I make my living with my motorbike. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $350 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $270
• Labor charges: $30
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $45
• Towing and inspection: $5

Sure. The biggest one is gearbox replacement (parts), $270. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
