Help Sharmila keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Dhaka is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 285 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dhaka market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $140
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sharmila.
Sure. The biggest one is refrigeration and electricity, $50. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Thinking of you and your family, Sharmila. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
How is Sharmila doing now?
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Multan!
Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Santarém.
