Help Shakil keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Shakil runs a volunteer pantry feeding 269 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 269 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190
• Baby formula and diapers: $55
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15
Glad we found this place.

Rooting for you. Hope you get there. After 11 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
