Help Shailesh keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Udaipur.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Monday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 237 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Udaipur market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $100
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $85
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $25
Glad we found this place.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Shailesh
It's all in the list in the story. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the big one at $100, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
Hope things get better soon, Shailesh. Shared this with my family
sending love, Shailesh. More neighborhoods should do this
