Edson, my brother, passed away on 28 August after complications from pneumonia. He was 86 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Edson to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $1,700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $880 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $650 • Transport of the deceased: $65 • Memorial gathering for the family: $105 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Best of luck, Sérgio. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Greensboro so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Contagem

    • Hang in there, Sérgio. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
