Mecca
Sawsan is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Mecca Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,450. The registrar has said Sawsan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sawsan has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sawsan would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Sawsan isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Mecca Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $2,450 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $200 • Final term tuition: $750 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Rashid

Thinking of you and your family, Rashid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
