Help Satish keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Mumbai.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 205 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $260
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $110
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
With deep gratitude,
Satish

It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Stockholm donated after I showed her your page
So sorry you're going through this, Satish. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
