Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Friday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 21 families, and now we feed 222 each week. Donations have dropped by about 52% this summer, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dhaka market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $250 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $25 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $160 • Baby formula and diapers: $65 If you're reading this, thank you. - Sathi

  • Hope things get better soon, Sathi. This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.

    • Praying for you, Sathi. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
