Mattia, my uncle, passed away on 16 May after complications from pneumonia. He was 77 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 22 May.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Mattia to have a dignified farewell.

The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.

• Transport of the deceased: $160
• Memorial gathering for the family: $340
