Santiago has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $4,500 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Santiago is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Leeds State College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500.
The registrar has said Santiago can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Santiago has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Santiago would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Santiago isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500
• Final term tuition: $2,650
• Exam and lab fees: $190
• Textbooks and materials: $160
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
