Sanjay was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Aurangabad Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,800, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $900 short.
my father has been in and out of Aurangabad Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Sanjay struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Sanjay won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
