Help Sandeep keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked

The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Butwal is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Butwal
Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 103 each week. Donations have dropped by about 53% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Butwal market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $120 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $185 • Baby formula and diapers: $50 • Refrigeration and electricity: $45 I hope life is good to you. - Sandeep

Hope it all works out, Sandeep. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust

    • Hang in there, Sandeep. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 18 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Incheon.

      • Thinking of you and your family, Sandeep. Your post was clear and honest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
