Help Samuel restart a laundry service in Syracuse after floodwater
A laundry service in Syracuse needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after floodwater.
Anywhere in the world3,005 views
For three years I have run a laundry service in Syracuse. In August, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $570
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $480
• Shop repairs and licensing: $450
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Wishing you the best, Samuel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 29 people at work.
Sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
hang in there, Samuel. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
take care, Samuel. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Port Harcourt but we're thinking of you.
