Help Samira keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Luxor is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Thursday from the back of a community center. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 396 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Luxor market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $300 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $110
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $155
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Samira
Small update. $55 so far, I made the first payment toward fresh vegetables and fruit.
Thank you all. We're at 17% now ($50). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts.
