Cairo
Nada, my mother, passed away on 16 March after a short illness. She was 67 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 2 April. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Nada to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $400 goes: • Memorial gathering for the family: $55 • Funeral home services and casket: $300 • Transport of the deceased: $45 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Samir

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about memorial gathering for the family, advice is welcome too. Ask me anything else.

  • You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.

    • Thinking of you and your family, Samir. Looking forward to the next update. Blessings
