Help Samantha keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Red Deer is running low just as demand rises; $2,450 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 148 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Red Deer market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $540
• Refrigeration and electricity: $145
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,765
