Help Salvador replace the gearbox and return to work
Salvador drives for a living in Bogotá, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 8 weeks.
🇨🇴 Bogotá D.C., Colombia440 views
I make my living with my school-run minibus. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $300 goes:
• Labor charges: $30
• Towing and inspection: $40
• gearbox replacement (parts): $230

Best of luck, Salvador. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Sent it to 10 people at work. Love from Mwanza.
