Help Saeed pay for palate reconstruction surgery at Saint Catherine Hospital
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in June is out of reach without help covering $1,000 of the cost.

Saeed was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in March. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my husband has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since March. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Saeed struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Saeed won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $400
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $380
• Physiotherapy sessions: $115
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $70
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Keep going, Rima. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Shubra.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless!
