Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 356 each week. Donations have dropped by about 35% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Alcalá de Henares market and keep every receipt. Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $1,800 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $770 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $460 • Baby formula and diapers: $300 • Refrigeration and electricity: $270 Please ask me anything in the questions section.       Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($770) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Happy to explain more.
