Oskar, my uncle, passed away on 22 September after a short illness. He was 89 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 September. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Oskar to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Düsseldorf hospice. Where the $3,500 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,700 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,200 • Transport of the deceased: $300 • Memorial gathering for the family: $300 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
