Help Saanvi replace the engine head gasket and return to work
Saanvi drives for a living in Kozhikode, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $125
• Labor charges: $55
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $35
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending good thoughts. Small businesses are the heart of Kozhikode. Hope you're open again soon. Put this on a community board in Brandon this morning. Thinking of Kozhikode.
So sorry you're going through this, Saanvi. This could happen to any of us. Love from Multan.
So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Lagos but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Lagos!
