Help Ruby start the school year with the right tools

Ruby won a place at Glendale Technical College but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

Glendale
I earned a place in Year 10 at Glendale Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $1,100, which is more than we have. I love design and technology and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything. Where the $1,100 goes: • Laptop: $600 • School uniform and shoes: $190 • Textbooks and workbooks: $220 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $90 With deep gratitude, Ruby
