Help Rubén with an overdue electricity bill before winter

Help Rubén cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this winter.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. Rubén received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $600 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Rubén called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $55 first, which isn't available. The household includes two young children, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. Rubén is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Rubén's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $600 goes: • Water arrears: $370 • Reconnection and late fees: $90 • Down payment on a payment plan: $140 With deep gratitude, Marta
