Help Rubén through 12 rounds of treatment for colon cancer
12 rounds of treatment are planned at León Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇲🇽 León, Guanajuato, Mexico194 views
Rubén was diagnosed with colon cancer in February. The oncology team at León Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Rubén is 47, worked as a bank teller until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to León Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $700 goes:
• Transport to León Cancer Centre: $125
• Household costs while unable to work: $350
• Scans and lab work: $225
Thank you for reading my story.

any update on how things are going in León?
Thinking of you and your family, Jorge. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Thinking of León
wishing you peace, Jorge. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
so sorry you're going through this, Jorge. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
Wishing Rubén a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
