Volunteer drivers wanted: Maria's dialysis appointments

A rota of drivers to the São Paulo Kidney Centre would keep Maria on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Maria has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the São Paulo Kidney Centre alone. After surgery on their hand, Maria can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way. Maria is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
