Help Ruairi keep the the Thursday Table pantry stocked
The the Thursday Table pantry in Kilkenny is running low just as demand rises; $2,500 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 85 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kilkenny market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $780
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $850
• Baby formula and diapers: $590
• Refrigeration and electricity: $280
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
