Help Rowan keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Los Angeles is running low just as demand rises; $2,700 will stock it for 12 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 398 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Los Angeles market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,050
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $770
• Baby formula and diapers: $510
• Refrigeration and electricity: $370
Thank you for reading my story.

Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rowan.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the biggest at $1,050. Ask me anything else.
Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 14 people at work
More neighborhoods should do this. Sent it to 17 people at work.
