Rony was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in February. The surgeon at Mumbai Regional Medical Center recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $920, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $550 short.
my son has been in and out of Mumbai Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $920 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rony struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Rony won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
