The electricity account is 4 months behind. Reza received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Reza called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Reza is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
