Help Rashmi pay for a craniotomy at Aurangabad Community Hospital
Rashmi needs a craniotomy at Aurangabad Community Hospital and the family is $950 short of the hospital's estimate.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India195 views
Rashmi was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in December. The surgeon at Aurangabad Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $950 short.
my mother has been in and out of Aurangabad Community Hospital since December. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rashmi struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Rashmi won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $950 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $260
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $400
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $90
• Post-operative medication: $60
• Physiotherapy sessions: $50
• Travel and lodging for the family: $90

Thinking of you, Ayaan. Hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Warri.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Limerick this morning. All the best.
