Help Rashid start the school year with the right tools
Rashid won a place at Soweto Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Soweto Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become a doctor. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $30
• Textbooks and workbooks: $75
• School uniform and shoes: $45
